Arrive at Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) or Hambantota International Airport (HIA) and meet your Blue Lanka representative. Transfer in a private luxury vehicle to Wild Coast Tented Lodge in Yala. In the afternoon, visit a nearby Yala village for an authentic rice and curry lunch. Join local fishermen for freshwater fishing on the lake and explore nearby Bird Island. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Start the day with breakfast at the lodge, then visit a local village dairy farm to learn traditional curd-making and enjoy fresh buffalo milk. Participate in clay pottery making with local artisans, accompanied by herbal tea and insights into village life. In the afternoon, enjoy a jeep safari in Yala National Park, spotting elephants, leopards, crocodiles and exotic birds. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Morning visit to a village bakery to learn traditional bread-making. Explore the local market with your guide, selecting ingredients for a hands-on cooking session. Cook and enjoy a traditional rice and curry meal with a local family. In the evening, take a guided village trekking trail led by an expert in responsible tourism, including birdwatching and cultural interactions. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
After breakfast at the lodge, participate in traditional coconut treacle making, including tasting it with buffalo curd or in local sweets. Visit a bee honey farm to learn about sustainable bee farming and sample fresh honey. Depending on your flight schedule, transfer to the airport for departure.
